In 2005, Mentor Graphics acquired the assets of Aptix. Mentor Graphics' initial strategy was to support customers with hardware and software product upgrades and fixes.
In 2006, for customers with current support agreements, Mentor Graphics released a software upgrade and introduced a new hardware module that doubled the capacity of the System Explorer suite of products.
In 2007, as part of our continuous evaluation of our product portfolio, Mentor Graphics plans to refocus resources on product development that maximizes the value we deliver to you. As part of this process, we have made the decision to discontinue the Aptix product line.
What this means for you
Aptix products have been removed from our price list, and new seats or systems for these products will no longer be delivered. We will continue to provide support and meet all maintenance obligations for System Explorer for any customer with a current support agreement.
We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to obtain spare parts from our inventory to keep your current systems operational. Our inventory also includes a number of tested whole systems that you may want to consider. By logging in to SupportNet, you may review an inventory list for available tested products and spares, or download the latest release and ask technical questions.
